CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jackets finished off a lengthy homestand by dealing previously unbeaten Wayne State a 4-0 setback.
The Warriors registered a 4-1 victory in the first game.
Cedarville scored all four of its runs in the third inning.
Kylie Hertzler led off with a double,
McKenna Smith singled in a run, and
Arica Flaugher delivered a three-run double.
Casey Bertke went the distance in the circle for her second shutout. She allowed seven hits with three strikeouts and a walk.
In the first game,
Kaley Clark tallied a pair of singles and
Mariah Wallace singled home
Carrie Jespersen.
Adaline Ziehmer fanned four batters in six innings of relief.

- Flaugher has hit safely in 16-of-18 games this spring.
- Smith has recorded base hits in six of her last seven outings.
- Cedarville went 4-4 on the homestand by splitting four successive doubleheaders.
- Twelve of the last 14 contests were played on campus.
- It was the first softball meetings between the two schools.
- The rematch in Detroit is set for April 10.
- The Jackets open G-MAC play on Friday at Ursuline.
