Cedarville dumps G-MAC leaders, 7-5

OWENSBORO, Ky. - Brandon Doehne homered and Noah Schleinitz pitched five strong innings to guide the Yellow Jackets to a 7-5 win at league-leading Kentucky Wesleyan.

The Panthers took the first game of the G-MAC twinbill, 5-2.

The Jackets came from behind twice in the seven-inning second game. Doehne's three-run long ball knotted the score at 3-3 in the fourth.

After KWC regained the lead, 5-3, CU took over with a four-run sixth.

Jadon Ambrose singled home a run, Payton Eeles delivered an RBI double, and Kale Ebling followed with a two-run single for Cedarville, 14-16 overall and 11-11 G-MAC.

Schleinitz, 3-2, struck out seven through the first five innings. Riley Landrum tossed a scoreless sixth and Reid Hale worked the seventh for his second save.
