CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Adaline Ziehmer fired a complete game with six strikeouts to help Cedarville clip two-time defending G-MAC champion Hillsdale, 2-1.
The Chargers won game two of the doubleheader, 10-1, in a contest halted after five innings by the eight-run mercy rule.
Ziehmer, 3-2, allowed one earned run on eight hits in her third complete game of the spring.
The Jackets scored both of their runs in the fourth inning on back-to-back RBI singles by
Mariah Wallace and
Kaley Clark, who finished 2-for-2 with a double.
It was all Hillsdale in the nightcap after the visitors scored four times in the first inning.
Trailing 5-0 entering the bottom of the third, Cedarville had a run in with the bases loaded and nobody out, but failed to score again.
Bella Ross doubled and scored the lone tally for the Jackets, 15-11 overall and 4-4 G-MAC.
Stinger Notes:

- The weather was sunny and 75 degrees for both games.
- The Chargers stranded 20 base runners in the twinbill including 11 in the opener.
