INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Lady Jackets swept Bemidji State at the University of Indianapolis Invitational for their first victory of the 2021 season.
Cedarville opened the day with a 25-16, 25-22, 25-18 win
Riley Hensley pounded 14 kills on a .542 attack percentage to lead the play at the net.
Lauren Willow added 12 kills, six blocks, and a pair of service aces.
Liene Miller registered team-highs of 14 digs and three aces while
Haley Goff tallied 35 assists.
Northern Michigan ended the Jackets stay with a four-set outcome, 25-22, 25-21, 20-25, 25-19.
Miller buried 21 kills with nine kills and four blocks from Willow.
Goff came up with 40 assists and four blocks for Cedarville, 1-3.
Stinger Notes:
- Hensley's 14 kills equaled the second-highest total she's had in a match.
- It was the first-ever volleyball contest vs. Bemidji State.
- Emily Ward totaled 18 digs in the two matches.
- Northern Michigan leads the all-time series, 5-2.
