CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Aleah Martone and
Mary Kate Wyer each had a goal and an assist as Cedarville reversed an early deficit with five unanswered scores in a 5-2 G-MAC win over Tiffin.
The Lady Jackets, 4-3-1 overall and 4-1 G-MAC, found themselves in an 0-2 hole when the winless Dragons surprised them with two strikes in the first eight minutes.
Wyer and
Addie Erslan leveled the contest by halftime.
Martone hammered in the go ahead goal in the 54th minute.
Megan McClish and
Hannah Sareyka headed in corner kicks in the final 20 minutes to seal the outcome.
Jocelyn Gross made four saves and CU's defense saved a fifth shot off the line.
Stinger Notes:
- Payton Fraley, Holly Gouldrup, and Sara Olivarez were also credited with assists.
- CU entered the contest with five goals total on the season, one of which was an own goal.
- The last time the Jackets scored five times in a game was in 2019 vs. Alderson Broaddus at home (5-0).
- Cedarville has defeated TU six consecutive times.
- The Dragons continue to lead the all-time series, 12-6-3.
