CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jackets battled unbeaten Southern Indiana to a 0-0 draw in two overtimes to open the home portion of the schedule.
Neither side seriously threatened during the two ten-minute extra sessions.
The Screaming Eagles outshot the hosts 17-12 overall in the contest and 11-4 on goal.
Just three shots combined were attempted in OT and CU placed the only two on frame.
Brooke Ackley registered a career-high 11 saves in goal.
The Lady Jackets enjoyed a 10-0 advantage in corner kicks. USI was whistled for more fouls, 14-10.
Stinger Notes:
- It was the first-ever meeting in women's soccer between the two schools.
- USI opened the season with home wins over G-MAC members Trevecca and Walsh.
- The Screaming Eagles are members of the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
- Cedarville is 12-0-2 in its last 14 home games since dropping the 2019 opener on campus.
