CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Emily Chapman pumped in 21 points to lead Cedarville to a 72-69 G-MAC win over Malone at the Callan Athletic Center.
Chapman and
Paige Garr knocked down two free throws each in the final seconds to seal the deal for the Lady Jackets, 10-5 overall and 5-4 G-MAC.
The home team entered the final quarter trailing 48-46.
Allison Mader's layup with 4:44 remaining broke a 62-62 deadlock and gave CU the lead for good.
The Pioneers had the final possession, but misfired on their last three-point attempt.
Mader finished with 16 points and Garr chipped in 13.
Stinger Notes:
- Taylor Strock contributed seven points and seven rebounds.
- Mader handed out a team-high four assists.
- The Jackets hit 10-of-22 threes - the sixth time they've had at least ten in a game.
- Seven different players made a three-point basket.
- Cedarville outrebounded the visitors 37-30 including 12-5 in offensive boards.
- The Lady Jackets hold a 41-15 margin in the all-time series.
- The two teams play again in Canton, Ohio on February 24.
