Cedarville finds a way to edge Tiffin by one

HIGHLIGHTS

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Freshman Taylor Strock converted the game-winning free throw and the Lady Jackets dodged Tiffin's potential winner at the buzzer for a 69-68 G-MAC victory.

Paige Garr fired in 23 points and helped spark a fourth quarter surge for Cedarville, 11-5 overall and 6-4 G-MAC.

Allison Mader totaled 15 points, Strock came off the bench with 13 points and eight rebounds, and Emily Chapman added 11 points.

The Jackets turned around a 53-48 deficit entering the final period into a 68-61 advantage with 1:45 remaining. However, the defending G-MAC Tournament champions weren't finished.

The Dragons scored seven unanswered points in exactly one minute to tie it, 68-68.

Strock hit one-of-two free throws with 16.8 seconds to go and Tiffin missed what would have been a game-winning three-pointer as time expired.
