ASHLAND, Ohio - Ashland jumped on the cold-shooting Yellow Jackets with a big first half run en route to a convincing 77-60 G-MAC win at Kates Gymnasium.
Conner TenHove produced a double-double of 20 points and ten rebounds for Cedarville, 10-7 overall and 6-4 G-MAC.
Branden Maughmer added 20 points.
The Eagles ran off 17 consecutive points for a 23-5 lead when the visitors went scoreless for nearly eight minutes.
Cedarville made just 5-of-28 shots for 18 percent in the first period and trailed 38-17 at the break.
The margin ballooned to as much as 26 early in the second half. The Jackets got as close as 12 with four minutes remaining and outscored the hosts 43-39 in the final period.
Stinger Notes:
- TenHove's 20 points was a season-high while posting his third double-double.
- The Jackets still lead the G-MAC in three-point accuracy (.396), but finished 6-for-21 (.286).
- CU beat Ashland, 74-71, at home on December 4.
- The Eagles lead the all-time series, 37-10.
