HILLSDALE, Mich. -
Abby Freeman nailed a crucial three-pointer and the Lady Jackets finished off host Hillsdale at the free throw line for a 71-65 G-MAC victory.
Freeman's three-ball with 42 seconds left broke a 63-63 tie. Cedarville converted five-of-six free throws in the final 30 seconds to hold on.
Emily Chapman scored 14 points to lead four players in double figures for the Jackets, 12-6 overall and 7-5 G-MAC.
Freeman and
Allison Mader tallied 13 points each while
Lexi Moore added ten.
Cedarville built a 63-55 lead with 4:10 remaining, but the Chargers answered with eight points in a row to forge a tie with less than a minute left.
Stinger Notes:
- CU controlled the boards, 49-42, led by Mader's career-high nine rebounds.
- Chapman, Mader, Paige Garr, and Lydia Sweeney handed out three assists each.
- The lead changed hands 16 times throughout the game with four tie scores.
- The outcome avenged an 80-74 home setback to Hillsdale on December 11.
- Cedarville leads the all-time series, 8-5.
