HIGHLIGHTS
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville put together perhaps its most complete game of the season while ending Findlay's eight-game winning streak, 89-57, in a G-MAC encounter at the Callan Athletic Center.
Grant Whisman came off the bench to score 19 of his season-high 21 points in the first half for the Yellow Jackets, 11-8 overall and 7-5 G-MAC.
Quinton Green scored 14 points,
Jayvon Maughmer had 11, and
Branden Maughmer added 10.
The home side blew the game open with 19 unanswered points during a five-minute span midway through the first half for a 28-9 lead.
The margin was 47-22 at the intermission and expanded to as much as 65-29 with 12:25 left.
Eight different players made a three-point basket as CU matched its season-high for threes made in a game with 14.
Stinger Notes:
- The Jackets made 10-of-15 from deep in the first half led by Whisman's 4-for-4 effort.
- The Maughmer brothers and Conner TenHove all had four assists each.
- Branden Maughmer collected game-highs of seven rebounds and five steals.
- The home team controlled the boards 38-27 and made 15-of-17 free throws.
- CU also made 14 three-pointers against Saint Leo, Florida Southern, and Walsh.
- The Jackets swept the season series and have beaten Findlay in four of the last five meetings.
- The Oilers hold a 78-27 advantage in the 100-plus year old series.
