CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Lydia Sweeney flipped in a career-high 16 points and the Lady Jackets cruised to a 72-43 result over Lake Erie in G-MAC women's basketball action at the Callan Athletic Center.
Lexi Moore chipped in ten points for Cedarville, 9-5 overall and 4-4 G-MAC, who halted a three-game home losing streak.
Sweeney added four steals and
Taylor Strock hauled in a career-high 12 rebounds.
A 13-2 spurt to start the second half inflated a six-point halftime margin to 41-24.
The home team scored the first 14 points of the fourth quarter to blow the contest open and eventually pushed the lead out to as much as 33.
Stinger Notes:
- Allison Mader had eight points and two blocked shots.
- Leah Butterbaugh made her debut scoring four points with two assists.
- All eleven CU players in uniform played and ten scored.
- The hosts outscored Lake Erie 44-21 in the second half.
- The Lady Jackets are a perfect 14-0 in the all-time series.
- The rematch is February 9 in Painesville, Ohio.
