CEDARVILLE, Ohio - A first half goal was all that Tiffin needed to defeat the Yellow Jackets, 1-0, in the annual Homecoming game.
The Dragons netted an unassisted goal in the 27th minute in what was another tightly contested battle.
Cedarville produced a slight edge in the shots department - 10-9 overall and 4-3 on goal.
The hosts were also awarded five corner kicks while Tiffin did not attempt any.
Goalkeeper
Jared Zacharias had two saves, both in the first half, for the Yellow Jackets, 5-5-1 overall and 3-4 G-MAC.
Stinger Notes:
- Through 11 games, just 15 goals combined have been scored - eight by the Jackets.
- In only one game has both teams scored - a 2-1 win over Northwood on Sept. 8.
- CU has been blanked six times this season - four by 1-0 finals.
- Tiffin swept both regular season games also winning, 2-0, at home on Sept. 17.
- The Dragons are the only opponent to score more than once vs. Cedarville.
- TU holds a 24-13-2 lead in the all-time series.
