CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jackets wrapped up the home portion of the schedule with a convincing 4-0 victory against Kentucky Wesleyan.
Cedarville, 11-2-1 overall and 9-1 G-MAC, maintained a share of the top spot in the league with defending champion and No. 21 Ashland.
The hosts bolted to a 3-0 halftime lead on goals by
Mary Kate Wyer,
Aleah Martone, and
Olivia Hoffman.
Payton Fraley buried her first career goal ten minutes into the second half.
Brooke Ackley, who made three saves, and
Jocelyn Gross, who logged the final 21 minutes in goal, shared the clean sheet.
Stinger Notes:
- Cedarville outshot the visitors 28-6 overall and 17-3 on goal.
- Wyer converted a penalty kick just 78 seconds into the game after Addie Erslan was tripped in the box.
- Martone and Megan McClish recorded assists.
- Head Coach Jonathan Meade used 27 players in the contest.
- CU finishes the regular season with four on the road - Tiffin, Kentucky Wesleyan, Trevecca, and Ohio Dominican.
- The two sides meet again on October 20 in Owensboro, Ky.
- The Lady Jackets lead the all-time series, 11-5-1.
