PAINESVILLE, Ohio - Defending G-MAC champion Lake Erie broke through with three first-half goals and rode the wave to a 4-0 final over the Yellow Jackets.
The result halted a three-game winning streak for Cedarville, 8-6-1 overall and 5-4-1 G-MAC.
The Storm erupted for goals in the 27th, 29th, and 35th minutes to break it open.
The hosts tacked on the final goal in the 76th to win their fourth straight. LEC is 5-0-1 in its last six outings.
Shots overall were even at 15 apiece while Lake Erie placed more on goal, 8-6.
Stinger Notes:
- Lake Erie is the first opponent to tally more than two goals against the Jackets this year.
- It was the only meeting of the regular season between the two sides.
- Cedarville leads the all-time series, 5-3-1.
