CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Top seed and 13th-ranked Cedarville exploded for five goals in the second half to put away No. 4 Findlay, 6-1, in the G-MAC Women's Soccer Semifinals.

The Lady Jackets, 16-2-1, will put their 13-game winning streak up against defending champion and No. 2 Ashland in Saturday's final at 4:30 p.m. EDT.

The home side broke through with the game's only first half goal in the 28th minute when Megan McClish scored from Audrey Nelson.

Aleah Martone converted a penalty kick in the 56th minute and Nelson added some breathing room two minutes later for a 3-0 margin.

After the Oilers got on the board midway through the second period, Payton Fraley, Taylor Meadows, and Maddy Nelson pumped in goals to account for the final.

Stinger Notes:
  • Maddie McConnell assisted on Fraley's header.
  • Shots favored CU, 26-12 overall and 11-7 on goal.
  • Two-time G-MAC Goalkeeper of the Year Brooke Ackley made six saves.
  • The Oilers' goal ended a string of 355 consecutive scoreless minutes by the defense.
  • The Jackets defeated Findlay twice this fall, but the visitors still lead the series, 5-4-1.
  • Ashland eliminated No. 6 Walsh, 2-0, in the first semifinal of the day.
