HIGHLIGHTS
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville used a big fourth quarter to finish off a 71-66 come-from-behind non-conference win against Saginaw Valley State at the Callan Athletic Center.
Lydia Sweeney scored a team-high 18 points for the Lady Jackets, 3-8, who outscored the visitors 27-12 in the final period.
Paige Garr netted 14 points and
Makenna Fee added 13 including a go ahead three-pointer with 1:25 remaining.
The Cardinals appeared to be in good shape after forging ahead 54-39 late in the third quarter.
However, Cedarville responded with an 18-2 run over the next seven-plus minutes to make it a game the rest of the way.
Stinger Notes:
- The outcome halted a five-game losing streak.
- Cedarville converted 16-of-18 free throws including 9-of-10 in the fourth quarter.
- Garr (12) and Fee (11) scored 23 of the team's 43 second half points.
- The Jackets held the lead for just 3:35 of the contest.
- CU has won both games ever played between the two schools.
