HIGHLIGHTS
CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Lydia Sweeney's 20 points and a big third quarter propelled Cedarville to a 69-56 G-MAC win over Ohio Dominican on Senior Day at the Callan Athletic Center.
Emily Chapman scored 17 points and
Allison Mader added 14 for the Lady Jackets, 17-9 overall and 12-8 G-MAC.
CU started quickly by shooting 69 percent in the first quarter and opening up a 14-point lead midway through the second.
It was just a five-point difference by halftime, but the home team outscored ODU 18-6 in the third period thanks to a 16-4 explosion to begin the frame.
The Jackets shot 51 percent from the field for the game and nailed 10-of-18 triples in the process.
Stinger Notes:
- Chapman, Mader, Isabelle Bolender, and Lexi Moore were honored on Senior Day prior to the men's game.
- Sweeney made 8-of-9 field goals and was perfect on four shots from outside the arc.
- Freshman Taylor Strock netted nine points with a team-high six rebounds.
- The Jackets finished 8-7 in the Callan Athletic Center this winter.
- Cedarville swept the two regular season meetings and lead the all-time series, 39-29.
