CANTON, Ohio - Malone halted the Lady Jackets' four-game winning streak with a 74-64 G-MAC outcome at Osborne Hall.
Emily Chapman poured in a game-high 23 points for Cedarville, 17-10 overall and 12-9 G-MAC.
Paige Garr totaled 16 points to go along with a game-high seven rebounds.
Lydia Sweeney chipped in 10 points.
The host Pioneers held a 37-29 advantage at halftime and then kept CU at bay by shooting 57 percent from the field over the final 20 minutes.
The Lady Jackets trimmed what was a 12-point deficit down to five midway through the third quarter and then again with eight minutes remaining.
Stinger Notes:
- Chapman hit 3-of-4 shots from deep and was 10-for-16 overall.
- Only 16 fouls combined were whistled in the game.
- Cedarville's three free throws made equaled a season-low (vs. Kentucky Wesleyan).
- Malone held the lead for more than 30 minutes.
- The Lady Jackets own a 41-16 edge in the all-time series.
