NORTH CANTON, Ohio - WBCA Division II No. 15 Walsh won its 17th straight game, 66-51, over Cedarville in the regular season finale for both schools at Alumni Arena.
A big second quarter propelled the Cavaliers to a 37-19 lead at halftime which inflated to as much as 23 points late in the third period.
Cedarville overcame some early shooting woes to hit 53 percent of its shots and outscore the hosts 20-14 in the fourth quarter.
Emily Chapman poured in a game-high 26 points as the only player in double figures for the Lady Jackets, 17-11 overall and 12-10 G-MAC.
She connected on 5-of-8 three pointers, made all three of her free throws, and led the squad with eight rebounds.
Stinger Notes:
- In two road games this week, Chapman averaged 24.5 points and seven rebounds while hitting 8-of-12 treys.
- The Lady Jackets finished the campaign with a 9-4 record on the road.
- Walsh swept both regular season meetings and leads the all-time series, 24-22.
