CANTON, Ohio - Cedarville built a big first half lead and then hung on to sting defending G-MAC champion Malone, 74-66, at Osborne Hall.
Quinton Green fired in 20 points for the Yellow Jackets, 17-10 overall and 12-7 G-MAC, who won their fourth straight.
Conner TenHove totaled 18 points while
Jayvon Maughmer added 15.
The Yellow Jackets built an 18-point cushion, but the home team netted six quick points in the final 13 seconds of the first half to cut the difference to 44-32.
After getting within seven points five times in the second period, the Pioneers finally closed to within 65-61 at the 2:38 mark.
TenHove answered the call with a triple followed by a conventional three-pont play for a 71-63 lead with 1:15 to go.

- The Yellow Jackets held the lead for more than 37 minutes
- CU was 10-for-13 at the line - all in the second half.
- The Jackets controlled the boards, 45-38, with Branden Maughmer leading the team with nine.
- Since starting the season 11-0 at home, Malone dropped its third straight in a span of five days.
- Cedarville ended a five-game losing streak to the Pioneers.
- Malone leads the all-time series, 60-47, which began in the 1958-59 season.
