NORTH CANTON, Ohio - G-MAC regular season champion Walsh raced out to a big lead by halftime and maintained control for a 72-60 result over the Yellow Jackets to end the regular season.
Quinton Green and
Jayvon Maughmer netted 14 points each for Cedarville, 17-11 overall and 12-8 G-MAC.
The Cavaliers, who won their fifth in a row, jumped on the visitors for a 44-26 advantage by halftime.
The home team pushed the difference out to 23 in the first five-plus minutes after the break and cruised to the victory.
Green hauled in a game-high eight rebounds.
Stinger Notes:
- Jacob Drees came off the bench and didn't miss a shot in contributing nine points and five rebounds.
- CU knocked down 11 three-point baskets - the 13th time they made at least ten.
- Cedarville had a four-game winning streak snapped.
- The Jackets were 8-8 in the regular season away from the Callan Athletic Center.
- It was the 95th meeting on the hardwood between the two schools.
- Walsh leads the all-time series, 50-45, after splitting the two regular season games.
