Cedarville falls in regular season finale at Walsh

NORTH CANTON, Ohio - G-MAC regular season champion Walsh raced out to a big lead by halftime and maintained control for a 72-60 result over the Yellow Jackets to end the regular season.

Quinton Green and Jayvon Maughmer netted 14 points each for Cedarville, 17-11 overall and 12-8 G-MAC.

The Cavaliers, who won their fifth in a row, jumped on the visitors for a 44-26 advantage by halftime.

The home team pushed the difference out to 23 in the first five-plus minutes after the break and cruised to the victory.

Green hauled in a game-high eight rebounds.

Stinger Notes:
  • Jacob Drees came off the bench and didn't miss a shot in contributing nine points and five rebounds.
  • CU knocked down 11 three-point baskets - the 13th time they made at least ten.
  • Cedarville had a four-game winning streak snapped.
  • The Jackets were 8-8 in the regular season away from the Callan Athletic Center.
  • It was the 95th meeting on the hardwood between the two schools.
