HIGHLIGHTS
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville hung with Kentucky Wesleyan, but struggled to get shots to go down in a 57-45 G-MAC reversal at the Callan Athletic Center.
Paige Garr tossed in 18 points for the Lady Jackets, 12-8 overall and 7-7 G-MAC, while
Abby Freeman added 11.
The home team was within 46-38 entering the fourth quarter and got as close as 50-45 with five minutes to go.
CU didn't score a point the rest of the way misfiring on seven triples down the stretch.
Defense was key on both sides as the teams combined to shoot just 30 percent from the field in the second half.
Stinger Notes:
- Lexi Moore hauled in eight rebounds coupled with four steals.
- Emily Chapman dished out four assists.
- The Jackets were 3-for-5 at the line - season-lows for FTM and FTA.
- Cedarville came away with ten steals - third-highest this year.
- The 15 offensive rebounds is the most against a G-MAC foe this winter.
- CU had lost at Kentucky Wesleyan, 71-34, on January 3.
- The Panthers lead the all-time series, 11-10.
