PAINESVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jackets needed a big fourth quarter to dodge upset-minded Lake Erie, 68-57, in a G-MAC contest at the Osborne Center.
Cedarville outscored the Storm, 26-11, in the final period to keep the hosts winless in the G-MAC.
Emily Chapman fired in 24 points for the Jackets, 14-9 overall and 9-8 G-MAC.
Paige Garr recorded a double-double consisting of 16 points with a career-high 13 rebounds.
Allison Mader came through with 11 points and
Lexi Moore added 10.
Lake Erie enjoyed leads of eight points at halftime and four through three quarters. CU broke a 51-51 deadlock with 4:10 remaining by scoring ten unanswered points.
Stinger Notes:
- Garr's double-double was her second of the season (16-12Â vs. Northwest Indian College).
- The visitors converted 13-of-16 free throws in the fourth quarter and were 22-of-27 overall.
- The starters tallied all but two of the team's points.
- Each side held the lead for 19 minutes.
- The defense limited the Storm to 2-of-12 (.167) shooting in the final period.
- The Lady Jackets are 15-0 all-time against Lake Erie.
