JAN PHYL VILLAGE, Fla. - The Lady Jackets pounded four home runs and improved to 5-1 at The Spring Games with two more wins at the Auburndale Softball Complex.
Cedarville disposed of Pittsburg State, 9-5, and then gutted out a 5-4 result against Stonehill.
Casey Bertke,
Kaley Clark, and
Lexi Parsons all went deep in the first game. The Jackets took command with a six-run third inning.
Parsons went 3-for-4 with two runs scored while Clark had two hits with three RBI and two runs.
Bertke tallied a pair of hits and two RBI. She went the distance inside the circle to improve to 3-1.
Against Stonehill,
McKenna Smith had two hits including a two-run double for Cedarville, 6-3 overall.
Bertke belted a solo shot and pitched the final three innings to get the save in relief of winning pitcher
Emily Blake.
