CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Sam Punzi and
Daniel Sewak tagged three-run homers to power the Yellow Jackets past Ohio Dominican, 13-8, in the final meeting of their four-game series.
The outcome gave the home team the series win after the Panthers rallied for a 6-5 victory in the first game.
Back-to-back five-run innings propelled Cedarville to a 10-2 lead through four frames.
Punzi's blast was his 12th of the spring tying the single-season school record. He finished with two hits, two runs, and three RBI.
Bryce Hughes added two hits and three RBI while
Payton Eeles contributed two hits and three runs.
Winning pitcher
Wyatt Fisher, 3-2, struck out nine through six innings for CU, 17-18 overall and 11-8 G-MAC.
In the opener, ODU shocked the Jackets with a five-run seventh inning for a 6-5 win.
Hughes had three hits and two RBI with two hits apiece from Eeles and Punzi. Starting pitcher
Tanner Gillis struck out a career-high 11 in 6 1/3 innings.
