MASON, Ohio - Top seed and regular season champion Tiffin overpowered the Yellow Jackets, 14-2, in a G-MAC Baseball Championship elimination game at Prasco Park.
Cedarville ends the 2022 campaign at 21-26 overall.
The Dragons totaled 11 hits, ten of which were singles. They took advantage of nine walks, four hit batters, and two errors.
TU bolted to a 13-0 lead on the strength of a five-run second inning and tacking on seven more runs in the fifth.
The Jackets first 13 batters were retired until
Sam Punzi drew a one-out walk in the fifth.
Payton Eeles broke up the no hitter with a sharp single to right in the sixth.
CU scored its two runs in the frame on a sacrifice fly by
Lucas Rotello plus an RBI fielders choice by
Bryce Hughes.
The Jackets other hit came in the seventh on a single by
Alan Perry.

- Eeles reached base in all 47 games this season and his 63 runs scored easily eclipsed the old school record (50).
- Perry got on base in each of the last 27 contests.
- CU slugged a program record 52 home runs to obliterate the previous mark of 27.

- The .958 team fielding percentage tied for the third best in school history.
- The pitching staff racked up 386 strikeouts to better the old mark of 334.
