CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jackets are coming off of back-to-back G-MAC Tournament runner-up showings and that's exactly where they sit in the 2022 preseason coaches poll.

Defending champion Ashland accumulated ten first place votes and 120 points while Cedarville totaled 107 points and took the remaining two top votes.

Findlay, who clipped CU for the title in the 2020-21 spring Covid-shortened season, is third.

Ohio Dominican claimed the fourth position and Trevecca is fifth.

The Lady Jackets finished 12-6-2 overall and 11-2-1 G-MAC last fall with three of those setbacks to Ashland.

Cedarville made its second-ever appearance in the NCAA Division II Championship dropping a 2-1 overtime decision at eventual national champion Grand Valley State.

The season opener is on August 25 vs. Carson-Newman in Cleveland, Tenn.
