HIGHLIGHTS
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Indianapolis produced the game's only goal early in the second half and shut down the Lady Jackets, 1-0, in the first home game of the 2022 season.
The Greyhounds, 1-1-1, earned a free kick from 30 yards out and they finished it from the spot in the 58th minute.
Scoring chances were at a premium with each recording just two shots on goal.
Cedarville, 1-1-1, had an attempt go off the crossbar late in the first half.
The hosts outshot UIndy 9-6 overall including a 6-1 margin during the first 45 minutes.
Stinger Notes:
- Goalkeeper Brooke Ackley was called upon to make just one save.
- The Greyhound defense headed a 15-yard strike by Emily Walton over the crossbar midway through the first half.
- The Lady Jackets attempted more corner kicks, 7-3.
- The contest began a string of six consecutive home games.Â
- CU has eight days off before hosting Ursuline in the G-MAC opener on Sept. 8.
- Indianapolis leads the all-time series, 2-0.
