CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Defense was the name of the game as Cedarville and McKendree played to a scoreless draw in a Midwest Region non-conference battle.
Neither side has yet to surrender a goal in the early season.
Each team was limited to three shots on frame with goalkeeper
Jared Zacharias stopping the trio he faced.
The Bearcats, 2-0-1 all against G-MAC members, outshot the hosts, 11-8.
The visitors also attempted twice the corner kicks by a 6-3 margin against the Yellow Jackets, 1-0-1.
Stinger Notes:
- Zacharias has ten career shutouts.
- CU's last 0-0 contest was at Bellarmine in the second round of the 2019 NCAA Division II Championship.
- McKendree has successive clean sheets vs. Ohio Dominican, No. 15 Lake Erie, and the Jackets.
- This was the first men's soccer meeting between the two schools.
- After playing at Cal PA, Cedarville returns home for three straight.
