CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Walsh scored in the 80th minute for a 1-0 G-MAC victory over the Yellow Jackets in a battle of unbeaten clubs.
The outcome was Cedarville's first loss on campus in nearly four years.
The Cavaliers, 5-0-1 overall and 2-0 G-MAC, tucked the ball in from a scramble in front of the home team's net for the only tally.
Walsh attempted more shots overall, 9-8, but the Yellow Jackets were credited with more on goal, 5-3.
Stinger Notes:
- Jared Zacharias made two saves for CU, 3-1-1 and 1-1 G-MAC.
- There were 31 fouls combined whistled and seven cautions handed out.
- The Cavaliers hold a 27-22-6 advantage in the all-time series that dates back to 1970.
- Ohio Dominican was the last opponent to win on campus, 2-1, in the 2018 regular season finale.
- Since that result, the Yellow Jackets were 21-0-5 on the CU turf with two 'home' losses in matches that were moved to Wright State (field conditions).
