HIGHLIGHTS
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jackets erupted for four goals in the second half to blow by Walsh, 4-1, in G-MAC women's soccer action.
Maya Ryder made a long run and fired in her first career goal in the 52nd minute to break a scoreless duel.
Cedarville, 3-1-1 overall and 2-0 G-MAC, increased the lead less than seven minutes later when
Mary Kate Wyer's cross was deflected in for an own goal.
Wyer made it 3-0 when she converted a penalty kick in the 74th, but the Cavaliers broke the shutout in the 79th.
Megan McClish headed in a Ryder corner to complete the scoring in the 82nd minute.
Stinger Notes:
- The Jackets outshot Walsh 13-7 overall and 6-1 on goal.
- The home team enjoyed an 8-1 margin in corner kicks.
- Wyer's goal was the 15th of her career which includes a 2-for-2 effort in PK's.
- A total of 48 players were used in the contest - 22 by Cedarville.
- CU holds a 12-10-3 edge in the all-time series against Walsh.
