Cedarville rallies for five-set win at KWC

OWENSBORO, Ohio - The Lady Jackets rebounded from a 2-1 deficit to deflate Kentucky Wesleyan inside Jones Gymnasium.

Cedarville claimed the G-MAC match by scores of 25-13, 11-25, 19-25, 25-18, 15-11

Freshman Cassi Shields pounded 12 kills with three blocks to lead a balanced attack for the Jackets, 5-6 overall and 3-1 G-MAC.

Riley Hensley and Haley Koch added 11 kills apiece while Hannah Willow turned aside six blocks.

Kaley Matney recorded 39 assists with 14 digs. Lexi Glynn contributed 13 digs and Payton Krahn had 12 more.

Stinger Notes:
  • Seven different players registered at least one block.
  • There were 13 tie scores (8 in the third set) and five lead changes (4 in the third set).
  • Cedarville is 3-1 in five-set matches this season.
  • The Lady Jackets lead the all-time series, 15-7.
  • The Panthers visit the Callan Athletic Center on November 4.
