CEDARVILLE, Ohio - An early second half goal held up for Ashland in a 1-0 outcome at Cedarville in G-MAC men's soccer play.
The Eagles manufactured a goal in the 49th minute and their defense made it stand.
The visitors held the margin in shots overall, 16-11, as well as on goal, 6-2.
Jared Zacharias stopped five shots between the pipes for the Yellow Jackets, 4-3-1 overall and 2-3 G-MAC.
Stinger Notes:
- Cedarville has split four contests decided by a 1-0 score line.
- The Jackets have not relinquished a goal in the first half this season.
- Only 11 goals combined have been scored through eight contests - six by CU.
- Cedarville leads the all-time series against the Eagles, 5-3-1.
- The two sides play again at Ashland on October 6.
