BUCKHANNON, W.Va. - The Yellow Jackets absorbed their third consecutive shutout in a 1-0 setback at West Virginia Wesleyan in a non-conference contest.
The Bobcats, 4-2-2 overall, tallied in the 49th minute for the game's only goal.
Shots overall were 9-8 in favor of Cedarville including a 7-4 edge in the second half.
The visitors also had a 5-2 margin in shots on goal with all five coming in the final 45 minutes.
Jared Zacharias was credited with one save for the Yellow Jackets, 4-4-1.
Stinger Notes:
- It was CU's second straight 1-0 loss in which the opponent scored in the 49th minute.
- The Jacket offense has managed one goal in the last five outings.
- Eight of Cedarville's nine contests have been shutouts - five by 1-0 finals.
- It was the first-ever meeting in men's soccer between the two schools.
- The last nine games on the schedule are all within the G-MAC.
