Mauricio Ochoa Vazquez and
Jackson Isaacs both tallied second half goals as Cedarville posted a much-needed 2-0 G-MAC win at Findlay.
The outcome ended a three-game losing streak for the Yellow Jackets, 5-4-1 overall and 3-3 G-MAC.
Vazquez snapped the scoreless duel in the 49th minute when he flicked in a header off a cross by
Brett Vaughn.
Isaacs added the insurance goal unassisted in the 68th. His throw in ten yards up from the touch line cleared the keeper's head just inside the far post.
Goalkeeper
Jared Zacharias stopped a career-high ten shots while recording his fifth shutout.
Stinger Notes:
- Cedarville ended a string of 356 scoreless minutes.
- The defense posted its fifth shutout and has allowed just six goals this fall.
- Zacharias has 13 clean sheets in the last three seasons.
- Vazquez scored his third tally of the season and 17th of his career.
- Three of Isaacs' six career goals have come at Findlay.
- The Yellow Jackets hold a 14-6-2 lead in the all-time series which began in 1980.
