CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Saginaw Valley State proved to be too much for the Lady Jackets in the finale of the Cedarville Invitational.
The Cardinals swept the hosts 25-19, 25-22, 25-22 to close out the nine-match affair at the Callan Athletic Center.
Freshman
Cam Davenport totaled 12 kills and 17 digs for the Jackets, 2-5.
Janae Heegaard pounded nine kills with three blocks.
Kaley Matney handed out 32 assists and
Payton Krahn chipped in 13 digs.
Stinger Notes:
- There were 12 ties and four lead changes in the second set alone.
- None of the nine matches in the tournament needed five sets to complete.
- Riley Hensley was named to the all-tournament team.
- The Cardinals hold a 2-1 edge in the all-time series.
- Cedarville hosts three G-MAC matches next week to open league play.
