Cedarville hangs on for G-MAC win at Ohio Dominican

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Lady Jackets built a big lead and then had to withstand a furious Ohio Dominican comeback for a 74-70 G-MAC victory.

Paige Garr pumped in 22 points for Cedarville, 5-9 overall and 3-5 G-MAC.

Lydia Sweeney totaled 14 points with six assists and Makenna Fee added 11 points and four blocked shots.

The Jackets scored the last five points of the first half for a 41-32 lead and then erupted for the first 13 points of the second period.

The 18-point run resulted in a 54-32 bulge with seven minutes remaining in the frame.

However, the host Panthers cut the difference in half by the end of the quarter and closed to within 72-70 with 37 seconds to go.

A field goal and two free throws by Fee in the final eight seconds secured the victory.
