HILLSDALE, Mich. -
Paige Garr became the 30th player in Cedarville women's basketball history to tally 1,000 career points, but host Hillsdale spoiled the evening with a 68-53 G-MAC victory.
Garr was the only player to score in double figures for the Lady Jackets, 6-11 overall and 4-7 G-MAC.
Makenna Fee hauled in a career-high 12 rebounds.
Lydia Sweeney and Kat Weakly added nine points each.
Cedarville enjoyed a 28-16 lead midway through the second quarter and was up 30-24 at the break.
However, the Chargers turned the game around in the second half by outscoring the visitors, 44-23.
Stinger Notes:
- Garr extended her free throw streak to 18 straight conversions.
- Cedarville is 52-of-59 (.881) at the stripe in the last five contests.
- Fee added two more blocks and in the last four games has 11 rejections.
- Hillsdale made 18-of-32 (.563) shots from the field in the second half.
- The home team won both regular season games.
- The Lady Jackets lead the all-time series, 9-6.
