DAYTON, Ohio - Cedarville struggled the entire game from the field as Dayton coasted to a 75-40 exhibition victory before 13,407 at UD Arena.
The Division I Flyers never trailed despite the contest being tied, 9-9, with 12:40 left in the first half.
UD tallied seven straight points and embarked on a 25-7 run to enjoy a 34-16 advantage by halftime.
A 15-3 start to the second period put the game away.
Jacob Drees and
Jayvon Maughmer totaled eight points each for the Yellow Jackets, who shot 26 percent from the field overall.
Cedarville opens the season at the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic on Nov. 4-5 in Lakeland, Fla.
