KIRKSVILLE, Mo. - Truman State ran off 16 unanswered points late in the game to steal an 86-80 decision from Cedarville in the Midwest Region Crossover at Pershing Arena.
The Yellow Jackets turned around an 11-point deficit early in the second half into a 72-63 lead with 5:55 remaining.
However, the Bulldogs exploded on their decisive run as Cedarville went scoreless for the next five minutes.
Grant Whisman poured in 31 points, one shy of his career-high, with seven three-pointers and a team-best seven rebounds.
Jayvon Maughmer tallied 23 points and
Chris Rogers dished off seven assists for the Jackets, 2-2.
CU made 17 three-pointers and converted 13-of-14 free throws.
The Jackets return to Ohio to host the
Don Callan Classic on Nov. 17-18.
