CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Timothy Davis scored a career-high 35 points and the Yellow Jackets knocked down a record 26 three-pointers to overwhelm Boyce, 129-63, at the Callan Athletic Center.
Davis came off the bench to hit 14-of-16 shots including all seven of his three-point attempts for Cedarville, 6-3 overall.
Ethan Sellars added five triples and a career-high 25 points.
Freshman guard
Anthony Ruffolo produced a triple-double of 10 points, 11 assists, and 12 rebounds.
The Jackets converted their first three three-point attempts in scoring the first 11 points of the contest.
They shot season-highs of .590 from the field and .591 (26-of-44) outside the arc.
STINGER NOTES:
- The bench scored 97 of the team's 129 points.
- Davis' 7-for-7 three-point perfection bettered the previous CU record of 5-for-5 set by Jason Weakley vs. Tiffin on 2/19/02.
- His previous career-high was 14 last year against Ohio Dominican.
- The 26 three-pointers obliterated the old mark of 20 which happened twice vs. Rio Grande and Ohio Mid-Western.
- Eight different players made a three-ball and seven hit at least two.
- The Jackets were credited with 35 assists on 49 total field goals made.
- Cedarville leads the all-time series against Boyce, 2-0.
