FINDLAY, Ohio - Findlay shot 80 percent in the first half and ended a five-game skid with a convincing 101-77 G-MAC victory over Cedarville.
Anthony Ruffolo came off the bench with a career-high 19 points, seven rebounds, and four assists.
Jayvon Maughmer scored 16 points and
Ethan Sellars chipped in 12 for the Yellow Jackets, 6-4 overall and 2-1 G-MAC.
The game was never tied after the Oilers scored the first four points nor was there ever a lead change.
The hosts made 13 consecutive field goals during a seven-minute stretch in the first period in which they expanded a 14-11 lead to 44-22.
The halftime score was 60-34.
STINGER NOTES:
- Maughmer came away with a game-high four steals.
- The Jackets, who lead the G-MAC in free throw accuracy (.813), converted 9-of-10 at the line.
- CU entered the game No. 1 in the country with 13.1 three-point field goals made per game.
- Cedarville was good for 12 triples, eight of which came in the second half.
- Findlay made 24-of-30 (.800) field goals in the first half including 9-of-13 (.692) outside the arc.
- The rematch is slated for February 17 at the Callan Athletic Center.
