CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Ohio Christian pulled away in the final two minutes and posted a 79-75 non-conference victory over Cedarville at the Callan Athletic Center.
Lydia Sweeney drained four three-pointers and totaled a season-high 31 points.
Nyla Hale and
Kat Weakley added 14 points apiece for the Lady Jackets, 2-5 overall.
Cedarville jumped out to an 8-2 margin and never relinquished the lead until the final three minutes.
The Trailblazers, 6-2, broke a 65-65 deadlock on a trey with 2:04 left and maintained the advantage the rest of the way.
STINGER NOTES:
- Sweeney went 12-of-20 from the field, 4-of-6 behind the arc, and was 3-for-3 at the line.
- Cedarville registered a 41-35 rebounding edge as Hale tallied six boards.
- Sweeney and Brianna Zajicek came away with four steals apiece.
- CU converted 11-of-13 (.846) free throws.
- The home team held the lead for nearly 33 minutes of the contest.
- OCU outscored the Jackets 30-22 in the fourth quarter.
