FINDLAY, Ohio - Cedarville's league-leading offense struggled from the opening tip and lost a 70-62 G-MAC assignment at Findlay.
It was the third consecutive loss for the Yellow Jackets, 17-9 overall and 10-8 G-MAC.
Jayvon Maughmer scored 20 points and
Jacob Drees recorded his tenth double-double consisting of 15 points and ten rebounds.
Cedarville entered the contest averaging 81 points, but the visitors shot just 36 percent while playing from behind.
The deficit was in single digits for the majority of the game, but the Oilers got the difference to as much as ten twice in the final five minutes.
Stinger Notes:
- UF outscored the Jackets 36-18 in the paint and 27-7 in bench scoring.
- Cedarville produced 18 points off of turnovers compared to 12 for the hosts.
- Maughmer scored in double figures for the 14th consecutive time.
- Drees has hauled in at least ten rebounds in five of the last six games.
- The Oilers ended a four-game losing streak vs. the Yellow Jackets.
- Findlay leads the 100-plus year season series by a 79-28 margin.
