HIGHLIGHTS
CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Grant Whisman's tip in beat the buzzer and the Yellow Jackets stung Kentucky Wesleyan, 77-76, in the regular season finale at the Callan Athletic Center.
The fantastic finish halted a four-game slide for Cedarville, who enters the G-MAC Tournament at 18-10 overall and 11-9 G-MAC.
Trailing 76-75, the Jackets had to go the length of the floor with only 3.2 seconds remaining.
Jayvon Maughmer came down with
Jacob Drees' long inbounds pass at the foul line, fed
Brayden Sipple who attempted a reverse layup driving in from the left baseline, and Whisman tipped in the winner.
Whisman and Maughmer finished with 18 points apiece.
Chris Rogers had 16 points and Drees produced another double-double of 15 points and 14 rebounds.

- Tytist Dean, Bryan Vander Have, and student assistant Quinn Coupland were honored on Senior Day.
- Cedarville raced out to a 35-11 lead and was on top for 34:28 of playing time.
- KWC converted a one-and-one with 3.2 seconds left setting up Whisman's heroics.
- There were ultimately six lead changes and seven tie scores.
- Drees' double-double was his tenth of the season, third straight, and fourth in the last five games.
- Rogers hit five three-pointers and dished out a team-high six assists.
- Maughmer has scored in twin figures in 16 consecutive games.
- The Panthers had beaten Cedarville, 82-50, in Owensboro, Ky. on Dec. 10.
- Kentucky Wesleyan holds an 11-8 edge in the all-time series.
