TIFFIN, Ohio - Tiffin scored with seven seconds remaining to clip the Lady Jackets, 71-70, in a G-MAC contest at the Gillmor Student Center.
Paige Garr totaled 19 points for Cedarville, 6-14 overall and 4-10 G-MAC.
Anne Wheeler tallied 18 points,
Kat Weakley had 12, and
Leah Butterbaugh chipped in a career-high 10.
The outcome spoiled a spirited comeback by the Lady Jackets who faced a 20-2 deficit late in the first quarter.
A 25-6 explosion gave CU a one-point cushion in period two before the Dragons regained the lead, 34-30, by the intermission.
The hosts held the lead the entire second half until Wheeler's triple lifted the Jackets to a 68-67 advantage with 1:03 left.
After TU regained the lead, Butterbaugh's basket with 14 seconds to go put Cedarville on top, 70-69, setting up the Dragons' late winnerÂ
