Arica Flaugher and
Sophia Hevel were honored on Senior Day when Cedarville ended the softball regular season by shutting down G-MAC foe Malone twice.
Winning pitchers
Casey Bertke and
Adaline Ziehmer were impressive in the circle as the Lady Jackets won 2-0 and 8-0 in six innings.
Bertke, 11-10, struck out 12 batters, one shy of her career high, while spinning a five-hitter in the opener.
Faith Bergner and
Lexi Parsons each produced two hits and an RBI while
Dana Bertke and
Mackenzie Russell added two hits apiece.
In game two, Ziehmer, 9-6, matched her career high with 11 strikeouts while firing a four-hitter in winning her third straight decision.
Flaugher piled up three hits including two doubles, two runs, and two RBI with Hevel contributing two hits and two runs.
Bergner, Russell, and
Dana Bertke had two hits each for Cedarville, 22-24 overall and 16-8 G-MAC.
