CEDARVILLE, Ohio - All five goals were scored in the second half with McKendree leaving town with a 3-2 non-conference victory over Cedarville.
Both sides ramped up the offense following a quiet first half in which neither team scored and each attempted just two shots.
After the Bearcats broke the ice on a hot day in the 48th minute,
Jake Johnson answered eight minutes later on a feed to the six-yard box by
Benjamin Carman.
The visitors regained the lead in the 61st minute and pocketed a huge insurance goal in the 77th.
Alex Long pulled one back with 2:10 left when his low 25-yarder squirted through the keeper and into the net.
