HIGHLIGHTS
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Malone never trailed in registering a 73-61 G-MAC victory over the Lady Jackets at the Callan Athletic Center.
Nyla Hale scored 16 points and
Lydia Sweeney added 15 for Cedarville, 5-11 overall and 3-6 G-MAC.
The Pioneers jumped out to a 20-7 lead and then withstood a couple CU comebacks during the game.
The Jackets scratched back to within four points prior to facing a 31-22 deficit at the break.
The margin ballooned to 24 in the fourth quarter, but the hosts went on a 15-2 spurt to get within 67-56 with three minutes left.
STINGER NOTES:
- All nine players to see action scored at least two points.
- The Jackets converted 15-of-19 (.789) free throws.
- Five of the team's six three-point field goals came in the fourth quarter.
- Brianna Zajicek hauled in a team-high six rebounds.
- It's the only regular season contest between the two schools.
